Storage solutions for all those magazines

I hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day!

I have collected and saved Quilting magazines for 20+ years.  I have them sorted by each Title - type of magazine and by date.  I have so many it is now impossible to find the article, much less where it is.

I found this great article in the Summer 2011 Studios magazine.  It talks about ripping apart the magazines, then saving the pictures and articles that you wanted.  Then recycling the rest.

She suggested ways of storing those pictures and articles so you can find them when you want to see them.
This would save so much shelve space in my sewing room.  Hope you enjoy this!

When you click on link, it pulls up page 20 of my magazine.  It is too small to read so click on the pages that were pulled up.  A black screen with tiny magazine appears.  Say yes to preview article. There you go.

Instructions to solve problems with saving too many magazines.

Enjoy, Kathy

Amazing Tutorial.

I love my Pinterest!   I have a huge amount of pins.

I pin things that inspire me and that I truly love.

I also pin things that I found on the web that
I want to remember and share.

I am going to start sharing weekly highlights of
beauty and inspiration for you that
I have found and think you need to see.

This week I am sharing a tutorial from
Jona (pronounced "John-uh") Giammalva,
who also lives in Arizona but we have never met.
Her blog is called
“Stop Staring …….. and  Start Sewing!”

This tutorial is about making 5 yards of bias binding
from a fat quarter! And it is amazingly ingenious!

The pictures and instructions are clear with
enough detail that I think you can do this too.

Stop Staring ..... and Start Sewing

Spread the word about my new blog with your webfriends and leave me a comment.

Enjoy, Kathy

New Fabric Stocked

I added some wonderful new 100% cotton knits from Joel Dewberry.  They are so soft and have very rich colors.  They will be sold in yards 36" x 60" or fabric cuts, which are good sizes for making diapers or small pieces of clothing.  I got a great deal on these and I am passing that on to you.

They are listed at $4 per yard, a steal to be sure.
